1st Great Steppe Sommelier Cup in Aktau

This year the first ever Great Steppe Sommelier Cup was held in Aktau at the end of October. It was organised by ASI observer member the Kazakhstan Sommelier Association in cooperation with their partners. The candidates counted a total of 10 from six different countries from East to West on the Great Steppe which stretches from Eastern Europe through to China.


The winner of this first cup was Dayana Nassyrova (Kazakhstan) followed by Vladimir Kosenko (Russia) and Alexandros Bouzikas (Greece)


The judging panel consisted partly of guests from other ASI countries such as Estonia, Germany, Greece and Austria.
